How an Artistic Mind Created #Not4Pussy Supplement Line

They say the best ideas are formulated when your back is against the wall and on the brink of losing everything. This couldn’t be any more true for Koray Akbiyik. While the international brand #Not4Pussy is exploding across the globe, the idea came out of the combination of desperation and creativity.

Life Has Its Ups and Downs… Play to Your Strengths

In 2014, Koray Akbiyik was on the verge of losing everything. To make matters even worse and more stressful, his wife was pregnant at the same time. A business deal gone awry had Koray and his wife pack up their things and move to a new city, only to find out the business owner decided to walk away from the deal, leaving Koray and his pregnant wife without a place to live and no way to bring in any income.

For nearly a decade before this unfortunate event, Koray Akbiyik worked for Olimp Sports Nutrition. Koray had a vast knowledge of supplements and sports nutrition while also being an incredibly talented artist – especially in the realm of graffiti. Staring at a mountain of debt, he knew he needed to find work to support his growing family. For the next two years, Koray helped build Gigas Nutrition before a lightbulb went off in his head for the #Not4Pussy supplement brand framework.

Koray Akbiyik closely watched the supplement industry and the changes that were unfolding with the rise and fall of specific categories and what the brands looked like who were currently winning in the market. He noticed that many of the brands in the pre-workout category used skulls on their labels or in their marketing, and all of the labels read a warning similar to “caution” or “dangerous.” It was a very hardcore vibe they were presenting. It’s essentially what the consumers were gravitating towards.

In September 2016, the #Not4Pussy brand was officially formed. The cumulation of data collected over the years helped Koray Akbiyik launch his first products under the #Not4Pussy name and create a cool and unique look to his brand by utilizing the look and feel of a psychedelic mouse.

For instance, if you look at one of their best-selling products (Psychodelic P-Matrix pre-workout), on the front of the label is a crazed mouse that is animated and eye-catching. While the mouse is not on all of the product labels, it was that little creative creature who helped put #Not4Pussy on the map and get recognized in the supplement market.

To further illustrate the fun with the #Not4Pussy brand, Koray Akbiyik got even more creative with the directions on the label copy and turned the recommended intake into a joke when he put on the label, “Two lines One nose. Just Kiddin.” And then proceeds to explain exactly how to use the product correctly. The brand is fun and exciting. Playful yet a hardcore brand.

Koray credits his passion for art and his artistic ability combined with his vast supplement knowledge for the design and look of the brand along with the solid formulations.

Five Years into #Not4Pussy

While the name of the brand may turn some people off, the feel of the brand that Koray Akbiyik was going for was a truly hardcore look and feel for only those who weren’t afraid to push themselves in the gym and not wave the white flag when their workout got intense.

It’s been five years since Koray first started the brand, and with his 25 years in the supplement game, he’s not afraid to say it would never have happened without the help of his friends and customers who believed in the brand and purpose.
