How Can Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Improve Your Health & Physique?

If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried a ton of different fish oil products over the years. Some of them you’ve probably found decent, while others have left you burping up fish (disgusting). While one or the other doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good or bad product, there ARE some things you should look for. More specifically, DHA and EPA from wild Alaskan fish oil.

I’ve Tried a Lot of Fish Oil Products, But This ONE Stood Out

I’m not one to go out of my way to try different products as I generally stick with one product when I find something I like, but I was introduced to a product that actually REALLY surprised me.

I’ve suffered for years trying to find a product that didn’t taste like fish (it’s funny to even say that considering what I’m talking about is FISH OIL) and wouldn’t leave me waiting for the dreaded fish burps to start.

Then I stumbled on a product made by Wiley’s Finest. It’s a wild Alaskan fish oil that they call SUMMIT DHA. Now, you know I don’t mention products or brands unless I try them and love them, and I’m happy to say, this product changed my opinion of fish oil.

My preference for fish oil has always been softgels and definitely those that minimize the taste and fish burps that we all dread. I kept hearing all of these things about Wiley’s Finest and how good the taste was and that they are the best in the industry when it comes to fish oil, so, as I usually do when I get enough recommendations, I decided to give it a try. Little did I know, this product was a LIQUID wild Alaskan fish oil.

I was a little worried when I was told the product was a liquid fish oil. Every liquid fish oil I’ve tried in the past left me gagging and struggling to keep it down – but not with this product. The Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Summit DHA has a natural lime flavor that did a fantastic job of almost entirely masking the fish taste. To my surprise, I liked the taste (which makes sense as they’ve won awards for the taste of their product), and the packaging says you can even mix it into food or beverages.

But why am I even bringing this up, and why should it matter to you? Well, it’s something you should focus on greatly, as fish oil provides a bunch of health and physique benefits that we can all take advantage of.

You Don’t Need to Swim Upstream to Get the Benefits from Wild Alaskan Fish Oil

Many people loathe exercise due to the fact they need to actively participate in order to see the benefits. The advantage of taking specific supplements is that they can provide you with benefits, and all you need to do is take them daily.

While I’m not advocating living a sedentary lifestyle (actually, the complete opposite), you can get quite a few amazing benefits from using a wild Alaskan fish oil like the Wiley’s Finest Summit DHA regardless of your activity level. Most health organizations recommend that adults consume anywhere from 250-500mg of DHA and EPA (combined) daily. The Wiley’s Finest Summit DHA includes 2,140mg of DHA (one of the highest on the market) and 460mg of EPA.

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. Since it’s difficult to produce enough DHA to support bodily functions, it is recommended to consume a supplement that includes DHA specifically. If you consume fish regularly, you may be able to get in enough DHA and EPA naturally through your diet, however, most Americans do not consume enough fatty fish in their diet to yield any true benefits, which is why a product like Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Summit DHA can be incredibly valuable to your overall health and functioning if you’re deficient in these two key nutrients.

Some of the benefits you may experience through using something like Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Summit DHA include:

1.     Support Healthy Brain Function

I don’t know about you, but I’ll take all the help I can in this department. There are several ways that DHA and EPA can help with brain functioning, such as helping reduce inflammation in the brain, preserving memory and cognition, aiding in producing serotonin to improve mood, by providing healthy fats that can be utilized by the brain as a source of energy, and they may even help slow age-related mental decline.

2.     Improve Eye and Nerve Health

A crucial nutrient needed to help preserve eye (retina) health is DHA. It has been found that those who are deficient in DHA are at a higher risk of eye issues. Supplementing with DHA and EPA can help keep the eyes lubricated, reduce the risk of macular degeneration, and lower the risk of glaucoma and pressure on the eyes.

When it comes to the combination of DHA and EPA, your nervous system may even benefit. DHA and EPA through a source like wild Alaskan fish oil can help maintain nerve-cell membranes. These nerve-cell membranes help protect the nerve itself while also helping transmit signals throughout the body.

3.     Enhance Weight Loss

Circling back to exercise and living a healthy lifestyle, those who utilize DHA and EPA in combination with a proper exercise and nutrition plan have been found to be able to better manage their weight and promote weight loss. This makes sense when you think about the overall health and physique of those who consume a lot of fish in their diet.

But again, you don’t need to consume fish if you’re not a fan of the taste or texture. That’s where supplementing with something like Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Summit DHA can come into play. Get all of the benefits of fish but without the need to actually eat it.

4.     Reduce Inflammation

You may not realize it, but your body is fighting inflammation on a daily basis. If you have sore joints or arthritis, you already know what I’m talking about. Stress, free radicals, and even exercise can cause inflammation in the body. This can negatively affect our joints, brain, workout recovery, immune system, and more. Simply put, you want to minimize inflammation as much as possible.

Fatty acids like DHA and EPA have natural anti-inflammatory properties to help combat inflammation. If not controlled, inflammation can cause several chronic diseases that can negatively affect your way of life.

5.     Maintain Strong Bones

Whether you live an active lifestyle or are simply getting up in age, bone health should be on everyone’s mind. The constant pounding from cardio and pressure put on bones through resistance training can cause bone fractures. Not to mention as we age, we risk our bones getting weaker and having osteoporosis sneak up on us.

Supplementing with a product that contains a good amount of DHA and EPA like a wild Alaskan fish oil can help keep your bones strong and healthy by increasing bone mineral density.

How Much Is Your Health Worth?

It doesn’t matter if you’re a mom, a grandfather, a professional athlete, or the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, you’re no good to yourself or anyone else if you don’t have your health. I don’t go a single day without taking in fish oil as I know the benefits, which is why I wanted to share my experience and how a product like Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil Summit DHA can help you.
