Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. This article is for informational purposes only. It is recommended that you get properly trained on how to use the Live the Creed kits mentioned in this article by taking some sort of trauma medical class, such as the one I’ve completed and reviewed by Iron Forge Consulting Group. It should also be noted that I purchased both med kits with my own money. Live the Creed did not reach out to me, they did not send me anything, I was not compensated in any way, they didn’t ask me to write about their brand, and my thoughts and opinions of their brand and products are solely mine and unbiased. But if they wanted to hit me up to test out some of their other gear, I’m down.

Now that we know a little bit about the backstory of Live the Creed let’s dive into the two med kits that I swear by.

What is the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit?

The Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is a compact, lightweight, and portable medical kit containing essential emergency trauma supplies. EDC stands for “Everyday Carry,” reflecting its purpose as a kit that you can carry with you at all times.

live the creed

This trauma kit is specifically designed to assist in the immediate treatment of injuries such as cuts, punctures, and lacerations, providing first-aid solutions until professional medical help can be accessed.

Being that this Live the Creed med kit is smaller than your typical IFAK, you can slide it into your back pocket, cargo pocket, or simply toss it in your backpack or briefcase and take it with you everywhere.

The Purpose of the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit

The primary purpose of the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is to provide individuals with a small yet, comprehensive set of medical supplies to handle emergency trauma situations.

Whether you’re involved in outdoor activities like hiking, camping, or cycling, or you work in a high-risk profession such as law enforcement, security, or emergency response, having a compact trauma kit within reach can be a life-saving asset.

This kit enables you to address bleeding, secure wounds, and stabilize injuries, potentially preventing further harm and improving the chances of a positive outcome.

Who Should Carry the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit?

The Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is suitable for a wide range of individuals who prioritize personal safety and want to be prepared for emergencies.

Below are a few examples of those who can benefit from carrying this compact med kit:

1. Outdoor Enthusiasts

Whether you’re exploring remote trails, climbing mountains, or embarking on wilderness adventures, accidents can happen. Having the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit ensures you’re equipped to handle injuries promptly, minimizing the impact on your outdoor experience.

2. First Responders

Professionals in law enforcement, emergency medical services, or search and rescue teams understand the value of quick action during critical situations. This trauma kit allows first responders to address injuries effectively before advanced medical care is available.

3. Everyday Citizens

In our daily lives, unforeseen accidents can occur at any time and place. Carrying the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit can provide peace of mind, knowing you have the tools to manage injuries until professional help arrives.

What Comes in the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit?

The Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is meticulously designed to include a range of essential medical supplies should you choose to purchase the pre-filled med kit (you can purchase just the pouch without the contents and fill it with whatever supplies you want if you wish to do so).

Below are the items found in the pre-filled kit:

1. SWAT-Tourniquet

A crucial tool for controlling severe bleeding and preventing life-threatening blood loss.

2. QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing

Designed to stop and control bleeding quickly.

3. Nitrile Gloves

Disposable gloves to ensure cleanliness and reduce the risk of disease and infection.

4. Micro First Aid Kit

Assorted sizes of band-aids for minor cuts and abrasions, wound closure strips, iodine wipe, alcohol wipe, and bacitracin ointment.

Overall Impression of the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit

The Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is a great little piece of kit. Personally, I believe that everyone should carry medical on them, regardless of if they carry a firearm or not. This med kit can easily fit into a cargo pocket or back pocket. If you are unable to fit it in a pocket or on your person, it’s small enough to fit in a purse or bag so that you have medical on you at all times.

I like the fact that it has a tiny first-aid kit in it. I have three boys, and it doesn’t matter where we go, if they can fall and get a scrape, they’re going to do it. Parents, you know exactly what I’m talking about. So, having that on me is nice.

Having QuikClot in the kit is awesome. I’m a huge fan, and if you carry medical, everyone should have some version of QuikClot in their kit.

While I think the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit is great, it has some aspects that I want to make you aware of. First, I hate the SWAT Tourniquet. If you’ve ever tried to put one on yourself, you know it’s not ideal. That said, the SWAT makes for a perfect pressure dressing to accompany the QuikClot in the kit. The SWAT is also good for kids or dogs, which may be a good reason to carry it.

How do I solve the SWAT issue? I simply carry another tourniquet on me. It could be a CAT, SOF-T, or even the ETQ from Snakestaff Systems.

Also, the size of the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit isn’t exactly what I call “pocket friendly.” The name is a little deceiving. It’s thick, and not thicc. You’re going to know it’s on your person, especially if in a front or back pocket.

Would I recommend the Live the Creed EDC Pocket Trauma Kit? Without a doubt. Whether you decide to get the pre-filled kit or just the pouch is up to you, but overall, I really like this EDC med kit.

Next, let’s dive into a more specific type of kit, something that will typically go on a battle belt or on a plate carrier.

What is the Live the Creed Responder IFAK?

When it comes to responding to emergencies, having the right tools and supplies can make a life-or-death difference. Whether you’re a professional emergency responder, a law enforcement officer, or an individual seeking to be prepared for critical situations, the Live the Creed Responder IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) is designed to provide comprehensive medical support when every second counts.

live the creed

The Live the Creed Responder IFAK contains medical supplies and equipment essential for addressing severe trauma, injuries, and life-threatening situations. It is specifically tailored to provide the necessary tools to stabilize patients and control bleeding until professional medical help can be accessed.

This piece of kit attaches to belts, such as a war belt or battle belt (if you really wanted to, you could put it on your pants belt, but it would show through your clothing) or can be secured to a plate carrier to have medical on you in a professional setting.

The Purpose of the Live the Creed Responder IFAK

The primary purpose of the Live the Creed Responder IFAK is to equip emergency responders with the necessary medical supplies to provide immediate care in critical situations. This kit enables responders to administer first aid, control bleeding, treat wounds, and manage airways, ensuring that the injured receive timely and effective care before they can be transported to a medical facility. The Responder IFAK is designed to withstand demanding environments and is suitable for use in a variety of emergency response scenarios, including law enforcement operations, search and rescue missions, and disaster relief efforts.

Who Should Carry the Live the Creed Responder IFAK?

The Live the Creed Responder IFAK is specifically designed for individuals involved in emergency response and those who may find themselves in high-risk situations. Below are some examples of professionals who can benefit from carrying this kit:

1. Emergency Responders

Paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and firefighters often encounter traumatic injuries during their work. The Live the Creed Responder IFAK ensures they have the necessary tools and supplies to provide critical care before reaching a medical facility.

2. Law Enforcement Officers

Police officers and other law enforcement personnel may encounter situations where immediate medical attention is required. Carrying the Live the Creed Responder IFAK allows them to address injuries sustained by themselves, their colleagues, or civilians until medical professionals arrive.

3. Search and Rescue Teams

Individuals involved in search and rescue missions often operate in remote and challenging environments. The Live the Creed Responder IFAK equips them with the necessary medical supplies to stabilize patients until they can be transported to a medical facility.

What Comes with the Live the Creed Responder IFAK?

The Live the Creed Responder IFAK includes a comprehensive range of medical supplies and equipment.

live the creed

Below are the items found in the pre-made IFAK:

1. CAT Gen 7 Tourniquet

Essential for controlling severe bleeding and preventing life-threatening blood loss.

2. QuikClot Combat Gauze LE Hemostatic Agent

Specialized dressings or gauze infused with clotting agents to promote rapid blood clotting.

3. NAR HyFin Vent Compact Chest Seals

Occlusive dressings used to treat open chest wounds and prevent air leaks.

4. 28fr Nasopharyngeal Airway w/ Lube

Used to ensure open and clear airways of someone who is unconscious.

5. H&H Mini 4” Israeli Bandage

The Israeli bandage is designed to quickly secure wounds and control bleeding effectively.

6. Trauma Shears 5.5”

Specialized scissors for cutting clothing and removing obstacles in emergency situations.

7. Nitrile Gloves

Disposable gloves to ensure cleanliness and reduce the risk of disease and infection.

Overall Impression of the Live the Creed Responder IFAK

If you are someone who is in law enforcement or simply a prepared citizen who cares about their kit and what they have available at a moment’s notice, the Live the Creed Responder IFAK is a great piece of gear.

The pre-made Live the Creed Responder IFAK has everything you could want or need, and I like the fact that the clip that secures it closed becomes the pull handle so that when you deploy the clasp, you can pull from either side and the kit comes out quickly and easily. This is especially important if you have it behind your back, where you’d want to be able to access it with both hands. Additionally, having the tourniquet on the exterior of the kit allow you to quickly grab it with either hand as well.

I appreciate the fact that the Live the Creed Responder IFAK isn’t a huge pouch. In fact, I replaced both gigantic pouches I had on battle belts with this IFAK (yes, I purchased multiple of these to put on multiple belts).

My only complaint is that the cost of the pre-made Live the Creed Responder IFAK is drastically overpriced, in my opinion. I priced out all the kit contents on my own and saved a considerable amount of money sourcing my own gear to put in the Live the Creed Responder IFAK. Should you choose to go this route, grab the empty IFAK pouch and build it out yourself to save some money.

But overall, do I like the Live the Creed Responder IFAK? Yes. Would I recommend it to the right group of people (this isn’t a piece of kit for everyone)? For sure. Just know that if you want the complete kit where you don’t need to source everything yourself, you’re going to pay a premium.
