BeautyFit BeautyWhey Review: Ladies, Hide Your Protein!

While most of the supplement reviews I do have been gender-neutral (my website demographics are basically a 50/50 split of men and women), I wanted to do something specific for the ladies. Well, as it ends up, guys… you better check this out too. BeautyFit is a female-friendly brand that can be found online as well as retail locations such as Bed Bath & Beyond. One of their flagship products is their BeautyFit BeautyWhey. The specific flavor I got my hands on to do this review is the Sin-o-Bun flavor.

Now, if you’ve heard of BeautyFit in the past, a product you may be more familiar with is their BeautyBum lotion. At the shows I’ve been at where BeautyFit was a part of and had a booth, they always had a crowd checking out this patented lotion technology as well as people hitting them up for BeautyWhey samples.

Enough of laying the backstory to all of this. What’s the point? My point is, BeautyWhey is a “women’s” protein powder. But let’s be real, protein powder is a protein powder and men can consume a BeautyWhey shake just as much as women can. Now granted, the profile (per serving) gears more towards the female population, but I’ll dive into that in a minute. Let’s keep things moving…

BeautyWhey Sin-o-Bun: So Good It’s Bad

Ok, that’s a play on words (clearly). But not really. This stuff is straight fire. For those of you who are not hip, that means amazing in today’s slang – gotta keep up with the youngsters. Based off of the reviews I’ve read and people I’ve spoken to, I came into this review already with high expectations since everyone seems to love it.

Personally, I get bored with flavors like vanilla, chocolate, cookies n cream, strawberry, blah blah blah. BORING! Sin-o-Bun sounded interesting so I rolled with it. The tub arrived at my doorstep, I ripped the lid and seal off and BAM! I got punched right in the face by the aroma. It was amazing. While the smell wasn’t exactly like a cinnamon bun, you could definitely pick out scents like cinnamon and even a batter type scent.

Per the marketing and copy on the label, the BeautyWhey is self-proclaimed as a “Gourmet Protein Shake.” Ok cool. I dig the sound of that, but will it hold up after a taste test? I’ll get to that a little later. But first, let’s check out the profile.

BeautyFit BeautyWhey Profile

The BeautyWhey protein powder comes in a 2lb tub and there are roughly 28 servings in each. The ingredients are pretty cool with the inclusion of Nu Cream powder, creatine monohydrate, MCTs, and some other goodies as well.

Each (33g) scoop of the BeautyFit BeautyWhey is one serving and contains 15g of protein. Personally, I would want more but at the same time, I understand who the product was created to cater to. So, for me, I’m doubling the serving size to two and slamming home 30g of protein. I’ll lay out the nutritionals below so you can view them.

Below are some of the bullet points showcasing BeautyWhey:

  • Contains whey protein isolate
  • Low in carbs
  • Contains healthy fats
  • Helps build muscle
  • Aids in recovery

Does It Live Up to the Hype?

Nothing pisses me off more than over-hyped products that when you get them and experience the product for yourself it is a complete letdown. After smelling the aroma as mentioned above, I was eager to make myself a shake using BeautyWhey.

I grabbed a shaker bottle to make just one serving (to try it). I added 6 ounces of water to my shaker, tossed in a scoop of the Sin-o-Bun, and shook it like a Shake Weight. Those who know what that is will find the humor. For the rest of you… we’ll just move right along.

After mixing the BeautyWhey up in the shaker bottle I popped the top and once again got a whiff of the aroma. I took a sip and damn… THAT’S REALLY FRICKIN’ GOOD. Right off the bat, I noticed the texture/mouthfeel of the shake. It’s extremely creamy, more so than most of the protein shakes (both powder and ready-to-drink varieties) I’ve tried over my time in the industry. What I experienced right from the start was the Nu Cream powder. Bravo. I like that it wasn’t a “watery” consistency and that the cream powder differentiated it from others on the market.

The flavor of the protein was great and now I understand why so many people rave over BeautyWhey. It makes me want to give some other flavors a shot (like their lemon flavor sounds pretty unique).

Last, but not least, the question everyone always wants to see in a review… Would I recommend BeautyWhey? The answer is yes. I would. Now, I will say this… for a 2lb tub, it is priced a little high in my opinion but if you are looking for an extremely solid protein powder that tastes amazing, then the extra cost is absolutely worth it. Circling back to a question I asked earlier… Does BeautyWhey live up the hype as a “Gourmet Protein Shake?” Indeed. I was impressed.

So, ladies, if you’ve never tried the BeautyWhey from BeautyFit, I highly recommend you give it a try. And gents, don’t shy away from the product being marketed towards females, this is a legitimately good protein powder that you can use as well. But you may want to get your own so you and your spouse aren’t fighting over who finished the last tub of protein in the house.
