MusclePharm Combat Pro-Gel Review — It’s TERRIBLE!

I was given a variety pack to try all of the MusclePharm Combat Pro-Gel flavors–Chocolate, Tropical Mango, Key Lime.  From the reviews I’ve seen in the past, the Key Lime is supposed to be the better of the bunch.  Let me put it this way, I’m not even going to bother linking the product in this review.  I wouldn’t feed this to a homeless person, they’d probably think I was trying to poison them.  It was one of the most horrid things I’ve ever had from the supplement industry–and I’ve had some bad products over my 10+ years in the industry.

Each MusclePharm Combat Pro-Gel pack has 22g of protein (hydrolyzed collagen protein and whey isolate), 0g of sugar, 3g of carbs, and a full dose of I’ll never recommend this product to anyone.  I’m just being real, like I do with all of my reviews.  Normally, I can find something good in every product I try, this one I simply can’t.  Not with the way it tastes and the weird texture.  The way it tastes completely ruins the nutritional content altogether.  It leaves me wondering if the formulator has taste buds and if they allowed their team to try the MusclePharm Combat Pro-Gel before they launched it.  And again, I tried what I was told and read is the best flavor out of the bunch.  Needless to say, I’m going to throw away the entire variety pack and not even bother trying the other flavors if they are rated even worse.

This product is brand suicide!

As much as I don’t want to be negative, there’s nothing good I can say about the MusclePharm Combat Pro-Gel other than if you don’t have taste buds, you’d probably find this product extremely convenient.  Everyone else, be prepared to force this thing down and regret every second of it.  I’d rather take a shot of apple cider vinegar without a chaser than try this product again.  I appreciate that they were trying to come out with a product that is slammed with protein in a convenient package that doesn’t require silverware or water, yet I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy.  Dr. Kevorkian could have injected his patients with this to put them out of their misery.  Stay away.  Stay as far away as you can get.  Maybe there’s a good reason why it’s no longer on their website?  I’m hoping because it’s been discontinued and the remaining retailers online are simply trying to sell through their inventory.
