Nokia Body+ Scale: Your Weight Loss Companion?

I have a scale that I’ve been using for over a decade now that shows me my weight, body fat, lean muscle weight, water weight, bone density, BMI, etc.  While it serves its purpose, I wanted something that I could use seamlessly and could track my information without the need to write anything down.  Enter the Nokia Body+ Scale.

Nokia Body+ Scale

For the last few weeks, I have been using this scale.  And surprisingly, I can’t seem to stop my 3-year-old son from wanting to “check his weight.”  He is absolutely in love with this scale and thinks it’s the coolest thing.  Each morning he walks over to my bathroom and asks to weigh himself.  You can watch his head explode when it shows him the weather for the day.  It’s pretty cool, but I’ll get to that in a minute.

The scale itself measures weight, fat mass, muscle mass, water, bone mass, and BMI.  The scale is supposed to be accurate to 0.2 pounds, and the difference between the Nokia Body+ Scale and my prior scale is actually 0.2 pounds different (not sure which one is truly accurate).  But what I really love is the fact that it tracks everything in the free app you can download.  I have the ability to add all of my information as well as those in my family.  Which to be honest, I like the fact that I can track my son’s weight to ensure he is slowly gaining weight and growing.

The app gives you a ton of data to digest.  You can track your weight, body fat, even your calories consumed and burned.  The app can flawlessly sync to other health apps as well, like MyFitnessPal, Nike+, Weight Watchers, Runkeeper, MapMyRun, and Apple Health to name a few.

You can have up to eight users recognized automatically and have each of their data synced to the app flawlessly.  Battery life claims to be 18 months, and as mentioned earlier, the scale provides the daily local weather forecast (pretty cool feature).  Setup from the app was extremely quick and easy and the scale comes with caps to go on the legs for if you wished to use the scale on carpet versus a hard surface.

If you are looking for a really helpful and useful scale that you’ll enjoy stepping on, I’d highly recommend the Nokia Body+ Scale.  If this is something you’d like to purchase, you can find it here.
