3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH: The Ultimate Pump Ingredient?

In November 2020, I was given the opportunity to test drive a new patented ingredient called 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH that would soon be released to the market. That said, anyone who knows me understands that I’m all about the pump. When I hit the gym, that’s what I’m striving for. I could chase the pump all day, every day until I achieve it. And sitting around 200 pounds, I need all the PUMP I can get! Personally, I don’t need all of the stimulants, focus ingredients, or mood enhancers to get me fired up for a workout – I’m merely ready to rumble the second I hear the gym music playing.

Now, full disclosure. The gentleman who contacted me about 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH is a longtime friend of mine in the industry, Bruce Kneller. When he first reached out to me about trying the ingredient, all he wanted in return was my feedback and thoughts on the product and how it affected my workouts. He didn’t ask for a review or anything in return, and I was not paid or compensated to try 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH in any way, nor for my thoughts and opinions in this article.

Jumping back into things, the interesting part about this opportunity was that I took a different approach to my feedback. In fact, my “feedback” to Bruce ended up being more than two months’ worth of testing and evaluating MYSELF with 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH, as well as testing it against other pump products and no pre-workout at all to get a solid baseline.

Note: If you’re looking for a highly scientific review of the inner workings, pathways, and mechanisms, this isn’t the review for you. I want everyone to be able to read this article and not have to do research to figure out what the heck I’m saying.

What is 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH?

Simply put, 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH is a pump enhancer that increases vasodilation (opens up your blood vessels to improve blood flow) along with some performance enhancers as well. If you’ve ever gone to the gym and felt your muscles swell and your skin gets tighter, that’s the pump. It may only be a temporary feeling, but it’s one that, when achieved, you never want it to disappear. If you’ve ever watched Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger, you know exactly what he thinks about “the pump.”

A single dose of 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH is 6g, and it is comprised of Glycerol, L-Citrulline, and ALMA Extract. All I did was dump the 6g serving into a shaker bottle filled with 10oz of water, and down the hatch it went.

The powder (as a standalone) created a somewhat murky or dirty color to the water. While not the most appealing from an appearance standpoint, it did not have a taste to it, which surprised me. In my eyes, 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH would easily go into any pre-workout formula and allow a supplement brand to hit it out of the park with a cool flavor system and not even need to mask this ingredient as you would something like caffeine.

What Should You Expect from 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH?

There are a few key areas where 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH can truly make a difference in your training.

1.     Pump/Blood Flow

Improving blood flow and enhancing the pump is incredibly important when it comes to your workouts. You want blood to easily get pushed into the working muscles to deliver oxygenated and nutrient-dense blood. In addition, you want the added ease of removing waste like lactic acid to allow you the ability to push yourself harder and further during each set.

When the pump is achieved, you may notice improved muscle fullness and even enhanced vascularity.

2.     Workout Performance

Your ability to perform optimally will determine the kinds of results you will achieve through your training. Progressive overload is something everyone who engages in resistance training should strive for every time they step into the gym. Progressive overload is what’s going to force your body to adapt and change.

To piggyback off of progressive overload comes muscle endurance, work capacity, and fatigue resistance. The harder you are able to push your body before it fatigues, the greater your ability to break down more muscle fibers, which can then lead to muscle growth (hypertrophy).

3.     Hydration

Hydration is an aspect that not many people focus on, which is unfortunate. When you exercise, you probably find yourself sweating. That sweat pulls key minerals from your body that could lead to dehydration as the workout continues. Even when the body is ever so slightly dehydrated, it can negatively affect your workout performance. For that reason, it should be made a priority to maintain proper fluid balance regardless of if you are in the heat and humidity or merely dripping sweat from your exertion during an intense training session.

Additionally, you need proper hydration levels in order to help achieve an intense pump.

My 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH Experiment

I call this my “experiment” because what was supposed to be a few workouts using 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH turned into a two-month trial.

Being that I’ve been in the industry a long time, I wanted to test out a few products along with 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH to see how everything lined up and what would happen if 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH were added to some of these other pre-workout pump products that everyone has heard of and uses.

For my muscle group, I chose arms. After all, who doesn’t love a killer arm pump? As mentioned earlier, I wanted my baseline measurements, so I had something to compare my results to. Therefore, I took measurements before and after a workout where I didn’t use any supplements at all. From there, I started playing around each arm workout.

To get an understanding of how everything would stack up, I tried:

  • 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH as a standalone
  • (3) different pre-workouts that claimed to enhance the pump
  • 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH stacked with each of the (3) pre-workouts
  • Various combinations of the (3) pre-workouts stacked together

What I found was with each trial that included 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH, my pump (immediately) post-workout, when I took my measurements, was improved. When using 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH, the pump also felt different. It’s hard to explain, but my muscle felt more dense – not just a pumped/swollen feeling. It’s truly a feeling you would need to experience in order to understand what I’m saying.

What Benefits Can You Achieve Through the Pump from 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH?

A muscle pump, also known as the “pump,” refers to the temporary swelling and increased blood flow to muscles during and after exercise, especially resistance training. Per my findings when using 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH with other pre-workouts, my results were more significant than when I used nothing or the brand name pre-workouts as a standalone.

Therefore, I personally believe that adding 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH into pretty much any pre-workout will provide enhanced benefits. It wouldn’t matter if it were a heavy stim pre-workout or stim-free – either way, I can see this patented ingredient making a noticeable improvement in the results of the product.

In addition, 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH as a standalone would be good enough, in my opinion, if you were looking for a pump along with some performance and hydration benefits.

Looking back, there’s nothing negative that I can pick out or say about my experience with 3DPUMP-BREAKTHROUGH. If there was one thing I have to criticize and nitpick, it’s the name. Bruce is a very clever man, and I think he could have done something more creative and catchier. But hey, if that’s the worst thing I have to say about the ingredient, I’d rather take results over some catchy name any day.
