Streamlight Super Siege: Rechargeable 1,100 Lumen Lantern
When testing out gear, I look for things that can crossover and be used for many purposes. I think I hit a home run when I found the Streamlight Super Siege. Whether you’re prepping for emergencies such as a power outage or have a love for camping, this rechargeable 1,100-lumen lantern will fit the bill in many different situations.
First off, what made me want to purchase the Streamlight Super Siege? If you know me, that’s a simple answer — the fact that it is rechargeable. Let’s think about it. When is the worst time to need batteries? When you don’t have them, right? Being able to recharge the Streamlight Super Siege with any battery pack allows you to have long-lasting light for quite a while if you don’t have power or need light while outdoors camping.
Needless to say, I hate batteries and have been changing out everything I have it be rechargeable.

The Streamlight Super Siege is the Ultimate Light Source
If you’re not into flashlights, you may have no idea just how powerful 1,100 lumens are. Today, most standard flashlights are under 500 lumens unless you invest in a good light from OLight, Streamlight, Surefire, Fenix, and many others.
Using the Streamlight Super Siege in a room will surely light up the entire room with ease. If you’re at a campsite, you will most definitely be able to see everything around you and provide ample light for tasks or when sitting around the campfire.

The lantern-style housing provides 360-degree light in all directions. However, if you want more directional lighting, you can attach the Glare Guard cover that will push more light out the areas that are not covered.
You have both white and red light capabilities and modes with this particular model, and it is available in coyote and yellow color options.
How Much Light Does It Provide and for How Long?
The Streamlight Super Siege, as mentioned already, is 1,100 lumens when powered on High and will last 5.75 hours at that level. If you bump the light down to Medium, it will provide 550 lumens for 11.5 hours. And if you drop it all the way down to Low, you’ll get 125 lumens and an insane 36.25 hours of runtime.
If you decide to use the red modes, you have a 2.7 lumen high that runs for 140 hours and a low of 1 lumen that runs for 348 hours. You also have a red flashing SOS mode that will run for 320 hours at 2.7 lumens.
Key Features of the Streamlight Super Siege
When looking at the features, there are actually quite a few. Being that it is rechargeable allows you to plug it into a wall to keep the battery topped off, as well as with the built-in USB ports, you can charge all sorts of devices such as flashlights, smartphones, tablets, and more. Covering the ports is a rubber cover to protect them from dirt, debris, and water.
The lantern has a unique handle that can lock into place when not being used or deployed and hooked on many different things if you wish to hang it on a branch when camping or onto something in your home or garage if needed.

The Streamlight Super Siege is IPX7 waterproof and can be submerged up to 1m, and is impact resistant and tested up to 2m (if you have kids, you’ll appreciate these features). Around a water source? No worries, the Streamlight Super Siege floats!
Looking at the body, it is constructed of a durable polymer construction with a rubber base that prevents it from sliding around and adds stability to the lantern.
In total, the Streamlight Super Siege weighs in at only one pound, making it incredibly portable to go wherever you want.
Why Would You Want This?
As mentioned earlier, the Streamlight Super Siege is the perfect light source for emergency situations such as power outages due to storms, as a prep for SHTF (if you’re a prepper), used when camping, or anytime you need a light source and there’s nothing around that you can plug into the electricity.

Would I Recommend the Streamlight Super Siege?
Yes! I have some of the older models that take batteries, while I like them, the rechargeable Streamlight Super Siege is (in my opinion) a much better option. It’s small, compact, and packs a ton of lumens and USB power to charge just about whatever you want.
