You Fail When You Refuse to Invest in Yourself

It’s painful watching people around you fail because all they are worried about is making money.  What people fail to realize is when everyone around you is bettering themselves because they want to see you lose, you’re at a disadvantage.  You can’t grow if you aren’t learning.  You need to invest in yourself.

Now, I’m not saying that you need to spend thousands of dollars to go back to college and learn something new.  What I’m talking about is reading more.  I don’t care if it’s paperbacks, audiobooks, or e-books — READ something.  And no, I’m not talking about some fiction non-sense.  While that might help combat stress levels, that’s not what I had in mind.  You need to pick up a book on a topic that you’re struggling with and invest in yourself.  If you’re having issues with your business, find the areas you could improve.  If marketing isn’t your thing, then pick up some marketing books.  If you find you’re putting on some weight, grab some books on health, fitness, or nutrition.  You should never stop learning.

invest in yourself

When you think about the cost of a book and what the return could be from it, there’s a huge benefit to reading a book.  I have an audiobook that is out on iTunes and Audible.  I love audiobooks because I’m not the fastest reader in the world.  So, I enjoy listening to an audiobook whenever I can.  With technology being king these days, I also put out a bunch of ebooks that were published.  This allows people the opportunity to learn something.  Here’s what’s even better.  I have priced all of my e-books and audiobook at such a ridiculous price, that it’s insane to think people wouldn’t pick them up.

Invest in Yourself

I appreciate everyone who has read or listened to my books.  Most of my e-books are around $2.99 at places and other authors are generally higher than that.  Am I devaluing my product?  No.  Could I be selling my e-books for way more money?  Absolutely.  Think about this… if you buy one of my e-books for $2.99, and you’re brilliant and are an expert in the field, yet get one solid tip or strategy from my books that you can implement into your business to drive sales, it’s all worth it, right?  Where else are you going to spend $2.99 and make exponential growth off of that investment?  Nowhere.  That’s why I feel it’s so important to invest in yourself.  Even if you learn one new tip, you can easily make your money back and continue growing your business off of just one little tip you never thought of.

You’re making a mistake if you don’t invest in yourself.  How do you expect to grow as a person and in whatever field you work or business you own?  I like to write, but I’m not doing it for my own good.  I want you to learn something and improve your skills.  That’s why I put so much time into my writing.  I hope this message is getting through to you, about just how important it truly is to invest in yourself and how inexpensively you can do it these days thanks to technology.  You no longer need a college degree to be successful.  If you are an autodidact, the sky is the limit.  I want to see you succeed, and if something I publish that costs you next to nothing does that, then my mission is complete.  Take a look at your life and business, where do you need the help?  Grab a book and run with it.  Invest in yourself.  It’s the best investment you’ll ever make.

Want to learn something new today and invest in yourself?  Check out my e-books and audiobook.  They’re worth WAY more than the price tag I put on them.
