Obesity Rate By Country: It’s Down-Right Scary! (Infographic)

Looking at the obesity rate by country, it’s not shocking to see the United States on top of the list.  We are, unfortunately, some of the most unhealthy individuals roaming this Earth.  As a nation, we have no one to blame but ourselves.  We did it to ourselves.  We consume fast food too often.  We don’t get enough exercise during the week.  We are mostly sedentary, even while at work.  We consume products that are extremely high in sugar.  And worse of all, many of us don’t go to the doctor yearly to even get a check-up.  Once a year you should be getting bloodwork done to ensure you are healthy and don’t have any issues that need to be addressed.  There are many people who suffer from high blood pressure and other issues that are life-threatening that aren’t even aware of these conditions.

I found some recent statistics that should be an eye-opener for us all.  When it comes to our health, we only get one life to live.  I’m not saying you need to be boring by living in the gym and eating tilapia and asparagus at every meal.  But, I think it’s important for us to understand just how BAD things are right now and that we need to act with urgency to try and regain our health — not only as individuals but as a nation.

We aren’t getting any younger.  In fact, with each passing day, we age.  Personally, I want to be able to see my child grow up and have a family of his own.  And childhood obesity could destroy that for many families. I want to be able to live a long life with longevity and be able to take care of myself, rather than needing someone to take care of me at all hours of the day.  Don’t you?  Then look at these statistics and snap out of it.  Below is an infographic showing the obesity rate by country.
